Comlight in European Automotive project

Comlight has participated in the EU-funded project "AutoDrive" with its motion detection technology. The project focuses on the development of fail-safe components and E / E (electric ane electronic) architectures, software, vehicle-to-all (V2X) communication for automated and safe traffic. The European Mobility.E Light-house is a collaboration and networking platform that supports projects that address smart mobile solutions and societal challenges. Mobility.E Lighthouse promotes the vision of electric, connected, autonomous and shared vehicles (ECAS - Electric, Connected, Autonomous, and Shared).

The Norwegian partners in the AutoDrive project was the Research Institute SINTEF AS and the industry partners COMLIGHT AS, NXTECH AS and VÆRSTE AS. The parteners are developing a heterogeneous V2X communication platform for communication between vehicles, and communication between vehicles and infrastructure, eg traffic lights and light poles. The communication modules consist of onboard units, roadside units, and internal communication modules for sensor readings, graphical user interface, etc.

"V2X: Vehicle to everything

The AutoDrive project started in May 2017 with a duration of 42 months. It assembled a large innovative pan-European environment consisting of 61 partners from 14 countries with a budget of 65 million euros. The partners represent Europe's leading semiconductor companies, car manufacturers, electronic systems integrators, reputable research institutes and several small and medium-sized enterprises with their specialized fields. This project received funding from the EU's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, and from the research councils in the various participating countries. The Research Council of Norway has funded the Norwegian partners in addition to the funding from the Horizon 2020  program.
